On 1st May 2010 the Isle of Man Aircraft Registry was 3 years old. In that time over 240 aircraft including corporate jets from all the world’s business jet manufacturers and the airliner variants from Airbus and Boeing, have been registered. In the last 12 months 117 new aircraft were added to the register and the growth continues unabated. During this period of sustained growth, additional staff have joined the Aircraft Registry team to ensure there is no reduction in quality or service standards to the Island’s clients.
The Isle of Man Aircraft Registry was established to provide a customer focused service for the registration of high quality private and corporate jets and high quality twin turbine-engine helicopters. Isle of Man registered aircraft cannot be used for Commercial Air Transport. As the only dedicated corporate aircraft register in Europe, the Registry offers high international standards and a competitive scheme of charges. As the Registry has expanded they have considerably increased their staff and moved to larger offices to ensure they maintain their high levels of service. They currently have eleven authorized Airworthiness Surveyors including a Surveyor resident in the USA.
The Isle of Man has an international reputation as a tax-efficient, but responsible and co-operative jurisdiction and appears on the OECD ‘white list’ of countries complying with the global standard for tax co-operation and exchange of information.
